When their project is signed, completed, and paid in full, we contact you immediately to ask how you'd like your check sent.
What you can earn
Referral rewards scale with the size of the closed project. We focus on projects starting around $10,000 and up — smaller jobs don't produce meaningful referral payouts. Ranges below are estimates confirmed once the scope is signed.

Repeat referrers and multi-project referrals may qualify for bonuses. If you send us a big one, we'll take care of you. Referrals stay active for six months — if the project hasn't started by then, simply submit them again.
Why we'd rather pay you than an ad platform
Contractors spend serious money on Facebook ads, Google ads, lead-gen sites, and mailers — and most of it ends up in the pocket of a platform, not a person.
We think that budget should go to the people who actually know us, trust us, and vouch for our work. When you refer a neighbor, coworker, or family member, that trust is worth more than any ad ever will be. So we pay it forward — literally — and we pay well for the service you're providing us.
And because this comes out of the marketing budget we would've spent anyway, the customer you refer pays the exact same price they'd pay walking in cold. No markup. No games.
The fine print, in plain English
- Submit the referral through this form. When your prospect calls us, we attach the referral to you and confirm everything within 72 hours.
- The prospect must be a new UpdateSTL customer — not someone we've already quoted in the last 12 months.
- Reward is paid after the project is signed, completed, and paid in full. Cancelled or refunded projects don't qualify.
- We focus on projects around $10,000 and up. Smaller jobs don't produce meaningful referral payouts, so we reserve the program for medium-sized projects and larger.
- When the project is paid in full, we contact you immediately to ask how you'd like your check sent.
- Referrals stay active for six months. If the project hasn't moved forward by then, simply submit the referral again.
- There's no cap on how many people you can refer. Refer 10, get paid 10 times.
- Employees of UpdateSTL and its parent company are not eligible. Otherwise, everyone's welcome.
